The difference

Most urns could belong to any pet.

Dear Paw creates a wooden memorial around the animal you loved: their face, their shape, their expression, and the small things that made them recognizable.

Technology stays behind the scenes. The promise is simple: you share their photographs, we create a portrait designed for wood, and you approve it before carving begins.

Process

Clear before anything is carved.

01

Share their photos

Upload several photographs that show their face, markings, and shape from different angles.

02

We create their portrait

Your photographs guide a portrait designed specifically for shallow wood relief carving.

03

You approve it

You see the portrait before anything is carved and can request a revision.

04

We make their memorial

The approved design is precision-carved in wood and individually finished.

Portrait journey

Photo to portrait to finished memorial.

This section will use real customer-approved examples as soon as they exist. For now it shows the structure the site needs to explain the product quickly.

Pet photographs

Several angles help us understand likeness and structure.

Carving portrait

A restrained interpretation, designed for shallow relief.

Wood memorial

The approved portrait is carved and individually finished.

Materials

Natural woods, quietly finished.

Walnut

Deep brown grain with a quiet, furniture-like presence.

White oak

Pale, structured grain with a calm modern feel.

Maple

Light and understated, suitable for softer interiors.

Cherry

Warm reddish tone that deepens naturally over time.

Approval promise

See their portrait before we carve it.

We do not carve the final piece until you approve the portrait.

This is the most important trust point in the experience and will carry through order emails, proof links, and the future customer portal.

Questions

Practical answers, without pressure.

How many photos should I upload?

Several photos are best. A clear face photo, a three-quarter view, and a side view usually give us a stronger sense of the pet.

Will the carving look exactly like my photograph?

The portrait is an interpretation designed for wood relief carving, not a photographic reproduction. The goal is recognizable and restrained.

Can I see the design before it is carved?

Yes. We do not carve the final piece until you approve the portrait.

Can I request changes?

Yes. The proofing step exists so you can ask for practical adjustments before production begins.

How large an urn do I need?

The order flow will recommend a size based on your pet's weight once final dimensions and capacities are confirmed.

Do you reuse customer photos in the gallery?

No. Customer photos and memorials are private unless a customer explicitly opts in to sharing.
